About OEA
Started in 1947, Oregon Executives Association is one of Portland's
oldest and most established business networking and support groups. Rich
in tradition and proven over time, the association continues to thrive
after more than 70 years. A lively luncheon meeting is held every Wednesday,
year round, to exchange information and listen to speakers.
BE KNOWN:
Members are invited to make presentations at the luncheon meetings,
participate in member visits to their offices and promote their business
within the organization. A key to maximizing the rewards of belonging
to the group is forging relationships and developing familiarity and trust.
To this end, innumberable opportunities are created through activities,
events and other programs to foster close ties between members.
EXCLUSIVE:
Only one business in any profession is allowed, so competition between
members is avoided. Once a member secures a position in the association,
as long as it is properly maintained, that business category is no longer
available for any of his or her competitors. Some categories have been
secured for more than 18 years.
QUALITY BUSINESSES:
Membership is not automatic, even when a category may be available.
In an effort to ensure member businesses are worthy of recommending to
others and share a high level of integrity, an interview and screening
process which includes an on-site visit, must be conducted before being
considered. Once a business is voted into membership, the owner can be
proud that it is one of a select number of firms recognized for quality
and high standards.
Business owners and managers who have an interest in learning more
about Oregon Executives Association may attend a luncheon meeting as a
guest of the organization.
